The Westin is located in the bustling Ballston area of Arlington just two blocks away from the Ballston Metro Station on the Orange Line as well as the National Science Foundation headquarters.  There are more than 20 restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.  The Ballston Common Mall is just a short walk from the hotel for shopping, movies, ice skating, and fast food. The Washington DC museums and tourist attractions are just a few stops on the Orange Line of the DC Metro.

Hotel Reservations
A reservation will be made for you at the Westin Gateway in the workshop block of rooms under your name for a February 8th check-in and February 10th checkout.  If you need to make any adjustments to your arrival or check out times, just let me know.

Travel

Please make your own travel arrangements to Arlington, VA and send the itinerary with ticket price to the workshop coordinator.  Also, please make air/ground transportation reservations as early as possible to take advantage of lower fares. Federal travel restrictions apply (coach/economy only). 

Reagan National Airport (DCA) is the most convenient airport to Arlington, VA and is on the Metro.  The Westin is 2 1/2 blocks from the Ballston Metro.  Dulles Airport (IAD) also serves the area. 

Reagan National Airport (DCA) The Westin is just 5 miles away from Ronald Reagan National Airport.  Both the airport and hotel are easily accessible via Metro. 

Metro: Blue Line to Rosslyn, change to Orange line (Vienna) to Ballston-MU stop.

A one-way cab ride is about $17 and a Super Shuttle ride is $14 one way (www.supershuttle.com/).

Driving Directions

from east

Take State Route 50 to Interstate 495 (Outerloop/Exit 7B). Continue on I-495 to State Route 267 (Exit 45B) which joins with Interstate 66 East. Continue on I-66 to North Fairfax Drive (Exit 71). Proceed pass the light and turn right on Vermont Avenue.

from north

Take Interstate 95 or Interstate 270 to Interstate 495 (Outerloop). Follow I-495 to State Route 267 (Exit 45B).SR-267 joins with Interstate 66 East. Continue on I-66 East and exit onto North Fairfax Drive (Exit 71). Proceed pass the light and turn right on Vermont Avenue.

from west

Take Interstate 66 and exit onto North Fairfax Drive (Exit 71). Proceed pass the light and turn right on Vermont Avenue. The hotel is 1 block further on the left.

from south

Take Interstate 95 North to Interstate 395.  Continue on I-395 to State Route 120 (Exit 7B/South Glebe Road).  Continue on SR-120 North for 3.2 miles, the hotel is located on the right.
